Mako Miller currently serves as the career development coordinator for Kauffman Scholars, Inc. (KSI). She joined KSI in 2013, and currently provides career and professional development to current undergraduate scholars and KSI alumni.

She began with KSI as a postsecondary advisor and transitioned to a postsecondary coach working directly with scholars at six (6) colleges and universities in Kansas. Prior to joining KSI, Mako worked in admissions and academic advising at Kansas State University and Metropolitan Community College - Longview. Her current role will allow her to support all current scholars and alumni through helping them develop their resume and networking skills and connect scholars to internships and jobs in the Kansas City metro.

Mako is also active in the community, where she serves as the vice president for the UMKC School of Education Alumni Board. She also serves on the Kansas State University Multicultural Alumni Council and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - Kansas City steering committee. Mako earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Kansas State University and a master’s in higher education administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
