Aaron North is the Kauffman Scholars board chair and is vice president of Education at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he is part of the Ewing Marion Kauffman School project. Prior to joining the Foundation, North served as the founding executive director of the Missouri Charter Public School Association (MCPSA). Before leading the startup effort at MCPSA, North worked in Minnesota as a charter school sponsor, school resource center director, and in the Minnesota Department of Education’s Office of Choice and Innovation. He also served as secretary for an urban elementary charter school board in Minneapolis.
North taught high school English in rural North Carolina as a Teach for America corps member and worked for Andersen Consulting and Sprint PCS prior to his teaching experience. North earned a Master of Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Kansas.
